Golden Real Estate Services: Brand Development
Golden Real Estate Services was launched when its owner, an established agent, was unhappy with how the big real estate groups ran their business. He aimed to do it better. By applying the principle of the age-old golden rule to his client interactions, he earned a solid reputation. As a startup GRES was looking for everything from logo development, initial collateral materials and a brand guide that would pave the way for cohesion across all present and future deliverables.
Logo Development
The logo developed is minimalistic and modern. It combines a bold, capitalized font with tracked out letters for strong impact. The emphasis is on the word ‘Golden,’ which will become the two-syllable coining for this brand. With this logo option, a strong mark (or bug) has been created. The client is a huge baseball fan. I developed a minimalistic house that resembles baseball’s home plate and intertwines it with the “G” to establish an icon that can work as a standalone mark on marketing deliverables, apparel and swag items including ball caps, embroidered polo shirts, coffee mugs, client keychains and more.
Being from the Washington DC area, the client requested that the colors resemble those of the Washington Commanders football team.
Business Collateral
Every new business needs its startup collateral. The design for the business cards and letterhead were kept simple. The goal was to stay with the minimalist approach taken with the logo development to develop a clean and professional look.
Marketing & Welcome Kit
These kits are used for marketing to new leads as potential leasing homeowners, as well as to the tenants who will reside there. Individual data retrieval forms and informational sheets are created to customize the folders to each audience.
Yard Signs
With all good real estate sales, visibility is key. The design is kept simple so that the important information is prominent and easy to read for the passersby. Additional placards were created to hang below the main sign to communicate “For Sale”, “For Lease” and for the individual realtors personal contact information.
Comprehensive Brand Guide
Once the logo was finalized, a comprehensive brand guide was developed to explain all of the new brand’s attributes such as font, color palette, size restrictions, clear space and other do’s and don’ts for it’s usage. As the above collateral pieces were developed, they were then added to display a more robust representation for the brand vision.
